The story behind Change

1995 Change is founded
Gitte Breil and Claus Walter Jensen found Change of Scandinavia A/S with the goal of producing Change nightwear in China. The merchandise is sold as a private label in large department stores in Europe.

1997 Handicraft and business instinct - the perfect combination
Lissi Lid comes to Change. With her international hosiery education and 40 years of experience in making lingerie, she is a master in the handicraft of designing, forming and sewing lingerie. She brings the necessary know how to Change and develops the bra that fits perfect in every size.

1998 Change - the first lingerie collection
Lissi Lid designs the first Change collection which is sold under the Change brand in department stores and lingerie stores. In this first collection there are several bras, which - even today - are bestsellers at Change.

2001 Change brand stores
In November, the first Change stores open in Copenhagen and in Ringsted, Denmark.

2002 Swimwear as well
Change introduces a swimwear collection which is based on the same principles as the lingerie; perfect fit and a large selection of sizes.

2002 Internationalization
In June, the first Change concept store opens outside Denmark in Kristiansand, Norway. During the years to come more stores are opened in Scandinavia, Germany, Ireland, The Netherlands, Canada and the Middle East. Change lingerie is also sold through retailers in 20 different countries.

2008 Change store number 100
Change has become the largest lingerie chain in Scandinavia and in February, store number 100 is opened in Vesterås, Sweden.

2009 Sustained internationalisation
Change sustains the growth and in September opens 12 new stores in the northern part of Spain.

2010 Towards new markets
In 2010 Change opened out to the world. In the spring Change opened stores in Britain. At the same time we also set up and opened our first Change Web Shop.

2011 The expansion continues
Change is still expanding with new stores in Denmark, Germany, Sweden and Poland and we now have more than 150 stores worldwide.
